Deposit Surface Analysis (DSA)
How and Where is this Test Kit Used?
|
 |
DSA™ is designed for the measurement of total microorganisms present on surfaces or in deposits. Use DSA to assess biological accumulation or contamination on surfaces such as:
|
-
Surfaces used for production
-
General hygienic surfaces
-
Biofilm collection devices
|
-
Corrosion products on equipment
-
Slimes or other biological build-ups
-
Soil or environmental samples
|
This kit can also be used in the following applications and industries:
DSA allows the user to perform a variation of the Total ATP (tATP™) analysis on weighted deposits and coupons to assess microbiological activity on solids.
The results obtained using DSA are used as an indicator to determine the quantity of biofilm build-up. With one simple measurement, you will be able to determine the quantity of biomass in your sample within minutes.
This information can be used to quickly troubleshoot and optimize the biological control process – such as a biocide application and control program to curb excess build-up – and over time lead to continuous improvement.
