QGO-M™ : Quench-Gone™ Organic Modified

How and Where is this Test Kit Used?

Items included in QGO-M kit

Quench–Gone Organic Modified (QGO–M) is based on the measurement of ATP and is designed for organic–based samples, such as metalworking emulsions or fuels.

QGO–M includes special provisions to separate organics prior to analysis, allowing you to quickly measure total microbiological concentration using this kit with a wide detection range and no assay interference! Use QGO–M to detect total microbiological activity in:

  • Metalworking Emulsions
  • Lubrication Fluids
  • Fuels
  • Oil Tank Bottom Water

This kit can also be used in the following applications and industries:

Quench–Gone technology from LuminUltra™ is based on the measurement of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP). ATP is a direct and interference–free indicator of total living biomass. ATP is measured using the firefly luciferase assay, where a sample containing ATP is introduced to a solution containing the enzyme Luciferase, which naturally occurs in the tails of fire flies, to produce light. The light is detected in a Luminometer.

QGO–M uses one analysis of Cellular ATP (cATP™) to directly determine the total microbiological concentration. QGO–M test kits use filtration to concentrate the biomass contained in water sample and separate out organic compounds, thereby removing inhibition and increasing sensitivity. QGO–M is optimized to detect between 1 and 200,000pg ATP/mL using standard procedures and equipment, depending on the type or volume of sample analyzed.

* There is no limit to QGO–M sensitivity. Procedural adaptations can be used to amplify the low–range sensitivity and to accommodate streams with large amounts of solids – these adaptations require additional equipment (LumiFilter™).

QGO–M measures the total quantity of microbiological activity through a single analysis within minutes. Compared to other methods of measuring total microbial load (also known as total flora), QGO–M provides immediate feedback, is not prone to interferences, and measures the total living population.

Use the real–time knowledge gained through QGO–M analyses to assess microbiological contamination and prevent process deterioration, optimize maintenance, and troubleshoot disinfection programs.
