QGO™ – Quench-Gone™
Organic Formulation

How and Where is this Test Kit Used?

Items included in QGO kit

Quench-Gone Organic (QGO) is based on the measurement of ATP and is designed for low-solids, low-biomass concentration applications where samples contain organic solvents, such as metalworking fluids. QGO includes special provisions to separate organics from the analysis.

You will be able to quickly measure microbiological concentration using this kit with a wide detection range and a guarantee of no assay inhibition! Use QGO to detect total microbiological activity in:

  • Metalworking Fluids

  • Oil / Water Mixtures

This kit can also be used in the following applications and industries:

QGO uses one analysis of Cellular ATP (cATP™) to directly determine the total microbiological concentration. For the detailed procedure, consult the QGO Quick-Reference Guide.

QGO test kits use filtration to concentrate the biomass contained in water sample and separate out organic compounds, thereby removing inhibition and increasing sensitivity.

QGO is optimized to detect between 0.2 and 67,000 pg ATP/mL using standard procedures, depending on the volume of sample analyzed.

* Procedural adaptations can be used to amplify the low-range sensitivity and to accommodate streams with large amounts of solids – these adaptations require additional equipment (LumiFilter™) and alternate filtration types and improve detection by increasing filtration volume.

QGO products measure the total quantity of microbiological activity through a single analysis within minutes. Compared to other methods of measuring total microbial load (also known as total flora), QGO provides immediate feedback, and does not encounter interference from organic contaminants.

Use the real-time knowledge gained through QGO analyses to assess microbiological contamination and prevent process deterioration, optimize maintenance, and troubleshoot disinfection programs.
