Data Analysis and Interpretation of Results

The action taken as a result of QGB analyses will depend on several factors. At what point in the process are the samples being drawn? What are the desired targets? What species predominantly grow under the conditions where the sample was taken? These issues must be understood prior to establishing thresholds for microbial content.

Factors such as pH and sugar content can severely inhibit the growth of some microbial classes (i.e. bacteria) while at the same time promoting the growth of others (i.e. yeasts & moulds). For integration into control programs, LuminUltra recommends that testing be done at least daily. Although each process or application is different, use these guidelines to establish your control program:
