Over the past year, Luminultra’s Food and Beverage team has experienced meaningful growth marked by innovation, expanded capabilities and strengthened partnerships. We’re proud of the progress made in supporting processors across North America as they advance food safety, hygiene verification and microbial monitoring programs.
Here are some highlights from this period of strategic action and alignment.
One of the most significant milestones was becoming Kikkoman Biochemifa’s newest North American distribution partner. We’re proud to bring their total adenylate (ATP+ADP+AMP) hygiene verification system, known as A3, as well as their Easy Plate dry media technology to even more food producers across the continent.
This partnership is a deep reflection of our companies’ shared values, commitment to scientific integrity and belief in the importance of simple, effective tools that empower and improve frontline decision-making.
Globally trusted and decades-proven, these tools are only now being made more widely accessible to North American food processors, and we’re proud to lead that effort.
We also marked a year of expanded lab capabilities. In our newly built lab space, we successfully completed a full re-accreditation assessment under ISO/IEC 17025 through SCC (Standards Council of Canada) and technical methods audit by CFIA for pathogen and indicator organism testing.
We expanded our portfolio to include new methods:
We’ve continued to invest in community building and knowledge sharing by hosting a private education event with long-time partners Bonte Foods, focused on sanitation and environmental monitoring best practices.
We also engaged with the broader industry by attending key food and beverage events including the annual Seafood Expo in Boston, International Association for Food Protection in Cleveland, the Ontario Food Protection Agency annual conference in Toronto and the Food and Beverage Atlantic annual event in Moncton, New Brunswick.
Along the way, we met hundreds of food professionals and had meaningful conversations about the challenges they’re facing in their roles to maintain food safety standards in busy and competitive environments.
Education remains a core focus of our work. We hosted and participated in several webinars including one featuring a guest speaker from an A3 client who shared firsthand insights on implementing total adenylate testing in a ready-to-eat facility.
We also launched new educational resources and began developing an expanded campaign to continue raising awareness about the power of proactive hygiene verification heading into 2026.
Our next webinar is January 29: Beyond compliance: smarter hygiene monitoring for safer food processing.
Over this period, we officially sunset the Impact Microbiology Services name for our lab services testing offerings and became fully integrated under the Luminultra brand. We timed this in conjunction with Luminultra’s overall brand refresh that aligns our entire portfolio of solutions supporting food, water and energy industries with the commitment to deliver Confidence in Every Count.
As we continue to move forward, our focus remains on supporting the food and beverage industry across North America. If you’re working to improve your food hygiene and food safety protocols this year, be sure to follow us as we release content designed to help you succeed at your goals, including:
To our clients, collaborators, and community, thank you for a year of shared success and trust. We’re proud of what we’ve built together so far and we are even more excited for what’s ahead.
