Economic Analysis: Microbiological Control in Metalworking Fluids

What’s inside:

Most commonly used MWF condition monitoring tests produce results within minutes. MWF concentration, pH, alkalinity, total dissolved solids (conductivity), tramp oil concentration and dirt-load each can be tested in less than five minutes.

However, one must typically wait for one or more days for even the fastest-growing microbes to produce a visible colony when testing metalworking fluids. As such, ATP monitoring represents a tremendous improvement in fluid management capabilities by enabling assessment and troubleshooting of contamination events during the same visit. This document outlines the economic opportunities that this capability presents.
